Carl Joesph is an artist who expresses his passion for unity and empowerment through art. An Orlando local Joseph has an impressive record of portraying his visions on canvases. His premiere exhibit was held at the Loud Gallery on June 23, 2019, in Orlando, FL. I had time to interview Joesph and lean first insight about his visions for the community, himself, and the future. Without further hesitation, I introduce to you Carl Joseph and into our conversation.

Mosi: Tell me about yourself?

Carl: My name is Carl Joseph. Iā€™m of Haitian descent. Born in Manhattan but raised in Queens, NY.

Mosi: What was the inspiration behind your collection tonight?

Carl: The culture, me going through personal issues Individual things and Individualism and lastly history. Just taking all of that and try to create a vision for the future.

Mosi: What advice would you give to a future artist?

Carl: Learn your history and use all of your resources.

Who has inspired your art?

Jean - Michel Basquiat and local people around me hustling, people that hustle in general motivate me.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Bigger galleries and bigger events, living off my art. I currently teach art as an elementary school teacher.
